Mr. Phumelele Kwayimani comes from a small township called Ginsberg, known for being the home of Steve Biko. The township is a stone throw away from King Williams Town. At age 17 he moved to Cape Town to further his studies.
As a young boy he spent a lot of time in the bush, hunting and fishing at Buffalo River. When he was 7 years his Father bought him pigeons, and later chickens to raise as his own.
"My father instilled the love for animals at a very young age. Growing up I owned a few dogs, given to me by my dad. I've always been surrounded by animals"
A member of Nat-Shoot, dedicated hunter and a conservationist. Phumi, as he is affectionately know is a Nguni breeder, and founder of Ndebe Ngunis (Pty) Ltd. He also co-founded SABHSSA NPC, and was elected its inaugural Chairperson.
Phumelele is the Chairperson of the East Cape Nguni Club serving his second term. The club is the largest, and second oldest Nguni club in South Africa.
Under his stewardship, the club was twice (2021 & 2022) voted club of the year by the Nguni Cattle Breeders Society of South Africa.
Frans was born and raised in the Haenertsburg area at Glenshiel Farm, where his parents worked as farm laborers. His love for African wildlife and nature was ignited at a young age while herding cows and goats at Wegraackbosch Organic Farm & Dairy during school holidays and weekends. Camping and hiking expeditions with the Thompson family further deepened his appreciation for nature. Upon completing secondary school, Frans pursued his dreams at the Southern African Wildlife College (SAWC).
In 2012, while studying a bridging course in Introduction to Conservation and Field Ranger at SAWC, Frans was selected to enroll in the Further Education and Training Course in Professional Hunting, also presented by SAWC. He was among the first group of previously disadvantaged individuals to undergo this robust professional hunting training, which included 18 months of theoretical training and a practical season with a hunting outfitter. Frans excelled in the course, earning the top student award and a buffalo cow hunt in Timbavati Private Nature Reserve from the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa (PHASA).
Born, raised and studied in the small town called Aliwal North in the Eastern Cape. This 39-year-old fellow is known for his love for hunting especially hunting the warthogs. He found inspiration from his maternal grandad who used to narrate to him hunting stories and different animal behavior while visiting him on the farm.
Tshegofatso Oriel Shordries is a dedicated and passionate professional in agriculture and hunting. A recent graduate of the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein campus, he holds a Bachelor of Agriculture degree with a major in Agricultural Management. Born and raised in Poortview, Gauteng, Tshegofatso has always been captivated by the natural world, fostering a lifelong fascination with wildlife and conservation.
Tshegofatso’s hunting expertise was refined through rigorous training and hands-on experience. In July 2021, he completed his professional hunting practical and exams at the prestigious Sutherland Hunting Academy, earning his professional hunting permit in August 2022. His journey as a hunter began at a young age on his father’s farm, where he harvested his first blesbok ram, igniting a deep passion for hunting that has become integral to his life.
Since 2016, Tshegofatso has guided local hunting clients on his father’s farm in Dullstroom, developing extensive knowledge and skills in hunting, conservation, and client relations. He has also guided hunts on various game farms during holidays, further expanding his expertise. Additionally, Tshegofatso has worked with foreign clients under reputable hunting outfitters, honing his ability to cater to diverse client needs and preferences.
A hard-working and dedicated individual, Tshegofatso is always eager to learn and improve his skills. His passion for hunting and conservation drives him to continually seek new knowledge and experiences, ensuring he stays current with the latest best practices and industry developments. Currently, Tshegofatso is affiliated with NO SCENT and BOSTOKSKIETSTOKKE, demonstrating his commitment to professional associations and networks within the industry.
Kgalalelo is a dynamic and versatile professional rooted in Nature Conservation Management, with a specialization in Biodiversity Management. Her journey is marked by extensive collaboration with various organizations through voluntary work, showcasing her commitment to environmental stewardship.
Expanding her expertise, Kgalalelo has ventured into Financial Management and Logistics, demonstrating her adaptability and broad skill set. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Nature Conservation at the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Driven by a passion for continuous self-improvement, Kgalalelo has amassed a wealth of knowledge and skills in Biodiversity Management. Her expertise spans permit issuance (TOPS, CITES), professional hunting, game capture and movement, damage-causing animal management, conservation research, environmental education, compliance inspections and enforcement, anti-poaching operations, administration, and reporting, as well as SEMA’s.
Kgalalelo’s academic background includes a National Diploma from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and a BTech from the Tshwane University of Technology. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a dedicated mother and wife, embodying versatility in all aspects of her life.
